Vanessa Briceño- Scherzer

Vanessa was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and is absolutely passionate about film, photography and culture. Her work reflects her fascination with life, art, music, and the many things that make people feel inspired.

Vanessa has experience in both Spanish and English television promotion, having worked as a Senior Producer/Editor at WUVP (Univision 65) and WFPA (Telefutura 28), and as a Writer/Producer for WPHL (phl17). Her marketing and promotional experience stems from helping to develop on-air contests, radio promotions, sales presentations, upfront videos, as well as on-air and traditional promotional campaigns for each of the stations where she’s worked, and their respective clients, some of which include The Kimmel Center, Macy’s, Wendy’s and GIANT supermarkets. Some of the more complex projects in which she participated include the launch campaign of My Network TV in Philadelphia (WPHL), the Philadelphia Mummers Parade, General Motors’ The Latino G.R.E.A.T. Jobs! Program, and the PNC Grow Up Great Program (Spanish Campaign).

Over the past decade, as CEO & Creative Director at ILÚ Media Design, she has worked with corporate and non-profit organizations, as well as with individual artists and music groups, to help enhance and grow their visual brand. As a professional photographer, as well as a seasoned producer, she has collaborated on marketing; development, image campaigns, media packages, and the production and post-production of music videos and electronic press kits (EPKs) for artists signed by independent and major labels, such as SONY, eOne Music, NAXOS, and Universal.

Vanessa holds a B.A. in Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University.
