Amaia Canzani

Director of Strategy, Social Media

With over 7 years of experience in marketing and online media, Amaia has amassed a considerable set of skills in the creative and analytic fields. She started her career in digital marketing at PedidosYa as a Digital Marketing Analyst, where she was quickly promoted to Social Media Manager. In this position, she successfully built the brand’s social presence in twelve Latin American countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

Amaia then led paid media strategy at Starcom for Samsung, Sodimac, and Mondelez among others. In addition, she has managed the Social Media teams for brands such as Subway, Radisson Hotel Group, Blue Cross & Blue Shield de Uruguay and L’Oréal Professionnel.

As Director of Strategy at the Story Room, Amaia oversees the development and implementation of insight-driven brand and content marketing strategies and supervises the Media Strategy department. She excels at analyzing market landscape, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, and advocating those recommendations to our clients.

Amaia also enjoys teaching, instructing students in the fields of Social Media, Creative Strategy, and Press Analysis. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, painting, and blogging.

Amaia is based in Montevideo and reports to Diego Prusky, Chief Strategist & Co-Founder.
